After the dentist approves you mouth, he or she will first take an impression of your mouth. After the impression, you will be scheduled for another appointment to try a wax model of the denture to see how the denture will fit. After the dentist has adjusted the wax model to fit the contours of your mouth snugly, it is then sent to the denture lab where your denture is made. A third appointment will be needed to make sure the new denture fits snugly in your mouth, if there is a need for additional adjustments, you will be required to see the dentist a fourth time to adjust your denture so that it fits properly. |

No. The duplicate dentures teeth will be acrylic denture teeth, which is the same material used to make the duplicate denture gums. We must point out the duplicate denture or any denture that has acrylic denture teeth is not as strong as porcelain denture teeth.
Today many dentures are not made with porcelain denture teeth because they do not absorb the vibrations caused from chewing as well as acrylic denture teeth. Porcelain denture teeth tend to transfer most of the impact energy right to your gum tissue and jawbone. Overtime, the vibrations causes gum tissue loss and bone loss in the jaw. |
